It is laudable to have a philosophy on a particular subject or aspect of life. A philosophy offers a framework for approaching certain situations, processing information, and taking action. In actuality, a philosophy is a plan of sorts, and having an advanced plan can increase your chances of success.
However, you must be ready to change your philosophy if it is not working for you. Philosophy does not always equate to reality. And, it is better to be in touch with reality than to be rigid in your philosophy.
If you are in touch with reality, you have better odds of producing desired results. In contrast, if you are rigid in your philosophy you may ultimately fail to meet your larger objectives for the sake of trying to prove yourself right. Would you rather enjoy your desired results or satisfy your egotistic mind?
So philosophically speaking, be flexible in your philosophies.
